Patriots went on to defeat the Eagles 24-21 to become the first team in six years to repeat as World Champions, and only the second team ever to win three Super Bowls in four years.

The team original uniform consist of red and white shirts, blue strips on the sleeves, white pants and helments. In 2000, the Patriots developed additional changes to their logo and uniform a dark blue shade of Flying Elvis was introduced.
