Miami Dolphins is a American football team based on Miami, Florida metropolian area and played home games in the Miami Gardens. These are current members of eastern Division of the American Football Conference(AFC) in the National Football League(NFL). In 1966 the Miami Dolphins began to play in the American football League.
In the early days The Dolphins were coached with Don Shula the head of proffesional foot ball history. In 1972 dolphin became the first and only NFL team to won the super Bowl. In 1980s Dolphin team broken with good records.
In 1970s the team defeated washington Redskins.The Dolphins won 12 games during the 1973 and won as NFL Champions, beating the Minnesota Vikings 24-7 in Super Bowl VIII. In 1980's , the Dolphins won their first 11 games and won Super Bowl XIX. In 1971 the team performed first Super Bowl apperance. Dolphin won Super Bowl 7 in 1972 and became the first team to appear in 3 consective Super Bowls.
Logos and Uniforms:
The logo of a dolphin consisit of helmet with orange sun burst. The uniform design consists of white helmets, orange trim, and either white or aqua green jerseys. The Dolphin team also wears either white or aqua green pants. In 1997, dark blue was added to the logo and uniforms as an accent color. The hashmarks around the perimeters of logo's sunburst were removed, while the Dolphin's features werechanged.
