founded in the year 1893 in minor Western League and later in 1900, it was renamed as
American League. It was one among the five baseball teams of America and Standrad for its name.
Detroit Tigers team's entry in the National League was in the years 1881-1888 as the minor team. In the year 1889, the major
team formed and joined in International League. By 1896, they had the new building at the corner of Michigan and Trumbull
Avenues.
