The Cincinnati Bengals are a professional American football team based in Cincinnati, Ohio. They are currently members of the Northern Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The Bengals started playing in the American Football League as a 1968 expansion team, and joined the NFL as part of the AFL-NFL Merger.
From the years 1946 to 1962, Brown led his team with a good winning percentage and many league championships. He was called as an innovator for his approach to training, game plans and other aspects of football. Early 2000's were the years of Cincinnati Bengals as they have won number of matches and made unbelievable scores too.
AFC Wild-Card Round:
On january 8, 2006 The Bengals hosted their first ever playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Multiple injuries and many fights created tension between the teams. There was also a bitter relationship between management and players. Many predict that this game will increase the rivalry between the Steelers and Bengals. That year neither team's home field advantage proved advantageous. In the series the home team lost every game. The Steelers defeated the Bengals in the wild-card playoff game.
Logo and uniforms:
The Cincinnati Bengal's team colors were orange, black and white, and their helmets were a similar shade of orange, with word Bengals in block letters on either side of the helmet and no stripe on the helmet. In 2004, a new tiger stripe pattern and more accents were added to the uniforms. The black jerseys now have orange sleeves, while the white jerseys began to use black sleeves and orange shoulders. A new logo consisting of an orange B covered with black tiger stripes was introduced. The team also started rotating black pants and debuted an alternate orange jersey.
