Boston Red Sox, established in 1901 and are major league baseball team located in Boston, Massachusetts in the United States. In the American League, This team is in the EAstern Division. New York Yankees is their main rival. "Greatest Rivalry on Earth" is reffered to Boston Red Sox/NewYork Yankees rivalry. In April , 1912 their stadium, Fenway Park, was opened. In 1903 against the Pittsburgh Pirates, The Boston Red sox won the first world series.

Second Home for the sox is Fenway Park. The Boston Americans became one of the charter members of the fledgling American League in 1901. part of Northeastern University's campus is Huntington Avenue Grounds and American played ball over there. Cy Young, Babe Ruth, Jimmy Collins, Duffy Lewis, Tris Speaker, Harry Hooper, Joe Cronin, Bobby Doerr, Johnny Pesky, Ted Williams, Jimmie Foxx, Carlton Fisk, Jim Rice and Carl Yastrzemski, to name just a few are Boston Red sox, great baseball players.

For his son John I.Taylor, Boston Globe owner General Charles Henry Taylor, a Civil War veteran, bought the team in 1904. club's name from the Pilgrims to the Red Sox has been changed by Taylor in 1907. Tired of the leasing arrangement for the Huntington Avenue Grounds in 1910, he also announced that he would build a ballpark for his Red Sox. Because of its location in the Fenway section of Boston,Taylor dubbed the new ballpark Fenway Park.

one night i tuned my television to some sports channel which was telecasting a baseball match and it was Boston Red Sox team playing the game,it was very intresting that i didn't notice the time. once i went to watch a baseball match with my friends, Boston Red Sox team was one of the competitors. they made the day more colorful with their game. The match was jus amazing. Boston Red Sox team didn't give a chance for the opposite team to do better, they just ruled over the field , and atlast, they stopped their attack with a winnig cup,it was really great fun watching baseball
