Boston Red Sox - Baseball Team that Bounced Back
Boston Red Sox, the team that emerged as a miracle in the history of baseball, was established as one of the charter franchises of the American League more than hundred years ago. It was then, when hundreds of thousands of admirers would purchase Boston Red Sox tickets and head towards the stadium to watch the dominance of the Boston Red Sox. A Little Background
Boston Red Sox was established in the year 1901 as a charter franchise of the American League. The team soon became the dominating member of the Major League Baseball's American League Eastern Division, with its victory at the first World Series in the year 1903. Pittsburgh Pirates were those defeated by the Boston Red Sox to win the title. Mr Taylor, the owner of the team, chose the name Red Sox and the same was followed throughout by various managements.
World Series Titles
Beginning the journey as winners of the first World Series, the Boston Red Sox remained in highlights for nearly 15 years and won four more World Series in 1912, 1915, 1916 and 1918 against the New York Giants, the Philadelphia Phillies, Brooklyn Robins and the Chicago Cubs respectively. It could be called the drought period for the team that began in the year 1919, and it didn't come to an end till the beginning of the 21st century.
In 2004, the team again occupied the front page headlines by winning the World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals. Their seventh and the final World Series victory for the Boston Red Sox came in the year 2007, by defeating the Colorado Rockies. Apart from the seven World Series, the team went on winning as many as 12 AL pennants throughout its existence.

one night i tuned my television to some sports channel which was telecasting a baseball match and it was Boston Red Sox team playing the game,it was very intresting that i didn't notice the time. once i went to watch a baseball match with my friends, Boston Red Sox team was one of the competitors. they made the day more colorful with their game. The match was jus amazing. Boston Red Sox team didn't give a chance for the opposite team to do better, they just ruled over the field , and atlast, they stopped their attack with a winnig cup,it was really great fun watching baseball |
